Windows theory...

The short tautology summing up the theory is the following:
"Coupling takes place when receptivity is coincindental to proactivity"

Now let's put the thing into perspective:
Receptivity can be considered to be a coefficient of alcohol that one has had and alcohol-adjusted-attractivity of the counterpart

Proactivity for men can be considered to be a coefficient of alcohol-adjusted-shyness (really talented people who can do without)
Proactivity for women can be considered to be a coefficient of personality with a dummy variable for Scandinavian women and other women that are proactive

The window problem is that the defaults for those values are
- Most men won't go chat up women if not drunk
- Most women in our countries won't go chat up men at all

So the only success scenario available is when men chat women up. So baring really attractive men, it all boils down to alcohol that men have had for proactivity before they are to drunk to be attractive at all... and alcohol that the targets has had by the time the chatter takes place! This is what I would call the alcohol window...

And I am very good at missing the alcohol window... Well, now at least we know why I am not good at chatting up women in bars or discos!
