RTW VI - Sydney - February 3rd to 6th

I love Sydney!!

Wow... So I fly to Sydney via Christchurch AND via Auckland... Thank you Mademoiselle, who booked my trip at Zurich airport!

At least I get to shop a bit: Hendrick's for Thomas v/o Fari and an All Blacks shirt for me (after being the equivalent of a big black dude in Japan, I felt entitled to that)

So I arrive in Sydney and, first thing, the customs guy calls me Daniel Vettori, apparently I'm a doppelganger of the Captain of the Kiwi cricket team... OK OK... I'll take it as a compliment!

Thomas picks me up and drives me straight to a Bavarian joint for a so-called Riesenschnitzel... I had had a lot of food in the lounge in Auckland, since my flight had been delayed, but I manage this tiny piece of veal like a German moustache wielding weight-lifting champ... Why do I add this? Because I can...

There follow three days of general happiness with a couple highlights:

David Jones – the local Globus, very high-end supermarket... I love it a go shop for a pic-nic and also end up drinking a tomato, roquette, ginger & carrot juice – Fan-freaking-tastic!

Bondi Beach – I think I saw another HSG alum, but didn't have the balls to go and talk to her... Turns out it wasn't her ;-)

Bondi Burger – Oporto is a local fast food chain with grilled chicken, yum yum! Try the Bondi Burger...

Krispy Kreme – my first experience with those donuts, that are apparently so good... Chris Rock thinks so!



Top Gun – this really never gets old... Fari, Kerry & I doing a pic-nic in the park for an open-air movie. Couldn't have been a better movie... To think Fari hadn't seen it... Pfff...

And above all: Congrats Fari & Kerry, I'm so happy for you both!!!!!!

Londres war cool...

Il y a plus de photos de mon week-end à Londres sur FB que je ne peux en uploader sur ce blog... Voilà donc un florilège pour tous ceux qui ne connaissent pas les gens que j'ai vu ce week-end...

Les 4 belles - true, il manque Julia et Olivia qui ne seraient pas mal placées dans un sextett composé par ailleurs de ce quattuor, mais bon on fait avec ce qu'on a...

Representing "not one gramm of fat", le frérot en chemise trendy col Mao, et representing reste of world, well... moi...


Rencontré Damien K. pour ceux qui connaissent... au Cuckoo's (unusual?) en train de se faire marcher dessus par une petite demoiselle (it's not unusual)...

Bref, ce week-end m'a redonné pretexte à repenser une millième fois à l'intérêt d'être un alpha-mâle... Ou du moins de ne pas être trop beta!

Que cela aille du switch de boyfriend parce que le sien propre s'est eclipsé pour éviter de payer les bouteilles du Cuckoo's au regard non-sexuels d'une minette pourtant livrée à lui-même.

Les femmes sont cruelles par intérêt et par instinct, ergo men have to step up!

Of course, who cares about all those beauties... Une petite dédicace à une personne chère qui s'envole demain pour la Finlande - attention mielleux à souhaits!!

17 heures plus tard ou l'éloge de la routine...

... de retour dans ma chambre d'hôtel après huit heures de boulot, huit heures de meeting et une heure de taxi, je fais ce que tout homme dans ma situation ferait:
- Je me connecte bien vite à internet...
- Je vérifie les résultats de la Champion's League. Milan et Liverpool, ce qui me met à 4 sur 4 pour mes prédictions de match retour. Bien!
- UEFA Fantasy Football - Luciano me passe devant, je suis de moins en moins bon - le fait que Saha et Gerrard n'aient pas joué ne m'aide pas bien sûr!
- Le tout avec du softporn en arrière-plan et une binche du minibar à la main...
- Je regarde le niveau des blogs que je suis: Photos de la Seehüsli chez Reb et chez Céline... Reb a même crée un album Picasa - quel plaisir!
- Je synchronise mon téléphone portable avec mon outlook
- Un dernier check sur Communicator, Arnaud est online... Je lui envoie une petit message!
- Un clip de Lovebites... Excellente série sur youtube! Des shorts très crûs, 2 minutes d'un plaisir télévisuel moins coupable et plus amusant que celui qui passe à la tv!
- Arnaud est passé "idle", un de plus qui dort...
- Je termine vite fait mon weekly reporting...
- Générique de fin, désormais des filles m'invitent à appeler des numéros pour faire des rencontres... Ain't life just super!
- J'éteins la tv et je commence à me laver les dents...
- Mon lit m'appelle... Cosy, quoi... Demain, meeting avec mon boss à 0730!
